I started swimming in High School and did one year of track Senior year, then swam all through college. For about 10 years after college I did triathlons seriously with a bunch of cycling and running races as cross training.
My interests and hobbies changed a little bit after that while also having a daughter, but I still ran weekly to stay in a little bit of shape. After some health issues in 2017 (blood clots) I have been motivated to get in better running shape again while also picking up serious hiking.
I've recently gotten into river kayaking. It's nice scenery, peaceful, and if you'd like to put in a bit more effort than just float downstream at the pace of the river, then it can be a good workout.
Main source of working out though is in the gym with a personal trainer or just going in and hitting the elliptical machine.
