I'm in the market for a BGE or a Kamado Joe. I grew up with normal charcoal grills and consider myself a hell of a good grill cook. Love doing Low Country Boils at our South Carolina Beach houses in Edisto Island.

I wasn't a cook, but now I look at it as fun and an art, not a chore. I have loved those all day smokes and trying new things with an egg Scotch in hand.

There's nothing a true carnivore likes better than meat cooked outdoors.20181107_165119.jpg20190601_181503.jpg20190630_152407.jpg20190913_170543.jpg20200425_192014.jpg20200509_172840.jpg20200918_201936.jpg20201008_105638.jpg

I've become a fan of the Big Green Egg the last several years. I've never been a cook, but have enjoyed learning on the Big Green Egg. I have a Large and just got a Mini-max that I can travel with. Some things I've prepared...
  • Ribs
  • Brisket
  • Prime Rib
  • Steak
  • Burgers
  • Links
  • Breakfast Sausage
  • Jalapeno "Poppers"
  • Shish Kabobs
  • Lobster
  • Shrimp
  • Scallops
  • Octopus
  • Veggies - Brussel Sprouts, Lettuce, Asparagus...

I was never a cook, but playing around with the Egg last 5 years has been fun fun! I've learned a bunch.

I found a 50% off deal on rib roasts @ Target. I bought "a few". I did this one @ 225 to an internal temp of 120. Followed by a brief rest and in the oven @ 450 for 10 minutes. PERFECT!20210101_150716.jpg20210101_150902.jpg20210101_171250.jpg20210101_171301.jpg20210101_182630.jpg20210101_182809.jpg20210101_182948.jpg

I have a CharBroil Infrared Commercial grill I managed to snag off craigslist for free. It cooks pretty well for $0! :)

I also use a Blackstone 3 burner griddle. I managed to get the pro-series version off craigslist as well, and I have more fun cooking on that than I do my grill. I posted an article about some of the meals I cook here.

Lion gas grill, installed with new outdoor kitchen build. With side burner. Connected to homes natural gas system. No tank refills. Includes a rotisserie’s and infra-red back heater.
Reaches over 500* in no time for pizza, searing, etc. Easy to clean and maintain. Industrial grade steel and components. Indirect lighting for nighttime grilling / cooking.
Pricey, but what can I say, I’m a lazy outdoor foodie novice and I’ve reached that moment in life where I can afford it.
