9. John Elway (2)

John Albert Elway Jr played college football at Stanford where he received All-American honors. He was selected as the first pick of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Colts before being traded to the Denver Broncos, where he would play his entire 16-year career. Elway led the Broncos to three Super Bowls, losing all three before returning to Super Bowl XXXII and winning. The Broncos returned again and won Super Bowl XXXIII the following year under his lead. Elway retired after that season and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004. He became the Executive Vice president of Football Operations for the Broncos in 2011 before becoming the General Manager in 2014, directing the team to a victory in Super Bowl 50.
