Kunming’s airport saw 32.9+ million travelers in 2020, making it the ninth busiest airport in the world. This was a big jump from 2019 where it was only the 37th busiest, even though there was a 30%+ decrease in passengers. Pretty impressive for a city that many people have likely never heard of!
